Statement of Faith

ECCA maintains a commitment to a historic, orthodox position on essential documents of the faith. We believe the following Statement of Faith is central to Christian education and the identity, mission, and unity of Eagle Classical Christian Academy.

THE SCRIPTURES: We believe the Bible, containing both the Old and New Testaments, is God's authoritative, inerrant, sufficient Word. It permeates our academic instruction and is our supreme and final authority in faith and life. Each academic area is viewed from the perspective of His Word. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21; John 17:17)

GODHEAD: We believe in one Triune God – eternally existent as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. As God is Creator of the universe, Sustainer of all things, and Source of all truth. (Matthew 28:18-20; John 1:1-2; Colossians 2:9)

JESUS CHRIST: We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins (atonement), His crucified body was raised from the dead, and He ascended into heaven to be with the Father as our Savior, Lord, and Mediator. As our Supreme Teacher, we believe that the life, Word, and ministry of Christ permeate the educational process in all aspects of school life. (Luke 1:35; I Corinthians 15:1-4; Philippians 2:6-11; Colossians 1:15-17; 2:2-3)

HOLY SPIRIT: We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to teach, counsel, comfort, and enable believers to live godly lives of service. The indwelling Holy Spirit encourages us to develop Christ-like character and is an integral part of our curriculum, emphasizing the development of a biblical worldview perspective. (John 14:16-17; 16:7-15; Galatians 5:22-26; Romans 8:26-29)

MANKIND: We believe God created male and female in His image (Imago Dei) and that Adam and Eve sinned and thereby incurred the judgment of both physical and spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God. As a result, all human beings are accountable for their sin and need to be born again, reconciled to God, and redeemed to serve Him. (Genesis 1:26-30; Psalm 51:1-12; John 3:3-7; Romans 5:1-11)

SALVATION: We believe that God provided salvation as the means of redeeming mankind and restoring man to Himself. He sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to be the sacrifice for our sins. Therefore, we encourage students to receive Christ as their personal Savior and Lord of life. Jesus said of Himself, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). We at ECCA hold to this by confirming that "without the Way, there is no going, Without the Truth, there is no knowing, and without the Life, there is no living." 1 (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 6:35-40; I Peter 1:3-5)

THE CHURCH: We believe that a vibrant, strong, and unified school must come alongside the body of Christ, which is the true Church. It is in this covenant relationship that forms the basis for our school's existence, to strengthen the Christian home and Church into a "cord of three strands that is not easily broken." (Ecclesiastes 4:12; Hebrews 10:19-25; Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 1:22-23)
CHRIST HAS DIED +++ CHRIST IS RISEN +++ CHRIST WILL COME AGAIN
